A little while back, I mentioned an idea for a BA list featuring Lightning Claw Terminators in a Land Raider. Well, I worked out something that I think might work. Regardless, it should be real fun to play.
HQ
-Dante
-Lemartes
Elites
-Death Company w/ Jump packs
-5 Terminators w/ Lightning Claws
Troops
-Assault Squad (10 men) Powerfist, Plasma Pistol
-Assault Squad (10 men) Powerfist
-Assault Squad (10 men) Powerfist
Fast Attack
-2 Attack Bikes w/ Multimelta
-2 Attack Bikes w/ Multimelta
Heavy Support
-Land Raider w/ Extra Armor
That comes out to the standard tourney size (1850) here on the local scene. I am really interested to try it out. You may have noticed that there are no Rhinos and a lot of jump packs. This is a totally different philosophy from the previous list I was running. I refer you to Jawaballs for the inspiration to try the jump packs back out again.
Let me know what you think.

It's just not a sexy list without the Furioso and the Baal. You also already know how I feel about bikes.
Luckily I have you and JB to be my testing guinea pigs for these new lists, haha, since I don't get to play much now. I actually picked up the BA codex all giddy to run JP marines streaking thru the sky to deliver their justice, but read up enough from JB's blog that that just wouldn't work. So we'll see if these new lists will work out. I'm also all about Lightning Claws and against PFs, so I'm really curious to see how it goes.
Either way, I like that the army has this kind of flexibility since our "Troop" choice can get transports for free. I'm used to the necrons with they very structured builds and no real transports.
Is there any reason you're running 2x Attack Bike 2-bike units instead of 1x 2-bike and 2 x 1-bike units?
Aside from the extra Kill Point it potentially gives away, splitting them up means your oppos must split their fire a bit more to tag all the bikes. Splitting also allows you a little more flexibility in where they go.
Other than that a tough 'in your face' list. The PFs look like they'd deal with any oppo who tries to tie up your units with walkers/monstrous creatures (obviously good against mech too). The fact there's 3 10-man assault units should see you weather any incoming fire.

A thread is up at BoLS about the attack bikes.
@thousand hats->In reference to your question, I simply have not thought as clearly as you about the attack bikes in the list. You are correct. The better way would be 2 attack bikes, 1 attack bike, 1 attack bike. Thanks for the heads up.
@brent->It would be easy enough to take out the Attack Bikes and use the 200 points to purchase 2 heavy flamer/multimelta speeders. That would leave 50 points. If you wanted three speeders, you would have to free up some more points from somewhere else in the list.
I will read your link from BoLS
Brent, I read the link you provided from BoLS.
It made me wish that BA speeders where as good as Generic speeders.
I think that's the point. You don't play Blood Angels to be an army of speeders or bikes.
Two things:
I've seen the BoLS article. I did my own a bit ago. http://raptor1313.blogspot.com/2009/09/space-marines-landspeeder-vs-attack.html
I mostly agree with him, but I'd take speeders for the versatility any day of the week.
My other suggestion? Why no Corbulo? S5, I5 Lightning Claws with re-rolls to hit will butcher the crap out of the enemy. Roll Corbs in the Land Raider, and drop Lemartes. Keep the DC close to the raider; I mean the thing's your rolling bunker anyway.
Incidentally, that'd free up the points for you to roll with 3x MM/HF speeders.

Picture it as a furioso instead...
If the rumors are true about a new BA codex, you will be kept busy next year.
I will have to look in on the rumors. I have not been reading any rumors. I assume that they indicate the BA codex coming soon.
I hope it does.
