Angels Sanguine Librarians

You may remember that I was planning on using my slightly converted AoBR Captain as a Librarian. As I was getting ready for the small game (750 pts) that I played this past Monday, I realized that I had no painted HQ choice save Dante. I love Dante, but he is a bit expensive for 750 pts.

Naturally, I set to work on putting some paint on the AoBR Captain in order to make a Librarian. As I started to grab him off the shelf, I got a wild hair and picked up one of my Vanguard Veterans from the unpainted second squad. I decided to make a slight weapon conversion to make another Librarian. I was pleased, and I took the Veteran Librarian to the game.

I give you some pictures of the finished Librarians. As always, your comments are welcome. Thanks for reading.

Hiya

That is a great idear for the AoBR.
Think I have one or two at home that could be put to good use like this.

Did you greenstuff the hood, cut off both arms annnnd...ad an jump pack :) + the skuff thingy on top ?

Looks Great :D

Hello Niels. Yes, this is the AoBR captain. The hood is greenstuff. I manipulated his right arm to change the joint angles. The left arm is a completely cut off. You will have to be careful to leave the torso in good condition, as the bolter is partially molded to it on that side. Add any bit on the top to your liking. I magnetized him to take either the back pack or the jump pack.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

I will make one or two when I got the time :)

But is the force sword the way to go?
I havnt been able to find the "right" offer on the Dark vengence rulebook on Ebay yet ;) so havnt been able to study 6ed as much as I would like to.

I suppose it depends on what you want him to be able to kill.

This mini conversion pre-dates 6th edition. When I made him, there was no difference in power weapons.

I try not to rely on my librarians in Close Combat. I find them to be a little weak.
